ValueOne is looking for two master schedulers for two longer consultant assignments to our customer in the manufacturing industry in Fagersta. The assignments are to be appointed in April and May with a possibility of permanent employment after completed assignment.
The role
As the Master Scheduler, you are responsible for breaking down production needs on a weekly and monthly basis. You will keep constant contact with internal stakeholders like inventory planning, demand planning, production planning, new product development, warehousing etc. in order to understand potential issues that may impact supply plans.
You report to the Global Operations Planning Manager.
Main tasks:
Monitor supply plans to identify changes and to determine their effect on production schedules and plans.
Work closely with production planning teams and other supply functions to ensure producing right products and accurate production plans.
Make required adjustments to accommodate short-term customer orders.
Identify possible future capacity constraints and bottlenecks.
Use and maintain current planning systems to create the best supply plans using established processes.
Develop and maintain capacity planning assumptions and performance measures in conjunction with purchasing, planning, manufacturing operations, logistics/warehousing and commercial teams.
Contribute and develop to monthly and weekly capacity meetings to ensure high performance delivered.
Measure, analyze and report metrics.
Improve and upgrade planning processes, systems and reporting.
Daily communication with relevant functions from each production unit (PU).
Order release of PO’s (production orders) to PU’s and external suppliers.
Monitor and address shortages.
Lead weekly review meetings with PU’s.
Experience and competence
To be successful you must have at least two years' experience from a similar role and have a good understanding of supply planning, inventory management and S&OP;. The role also requires education in operations, supply chain management, business (B.Sc.) or equivalent years in experience and preferably knowledge from working in Swedish industrial companies. Proficiency English, written and spoken, is a must. In addition we value system knowledge in M3, Logility, QlikView and Power BI. We also like you to have a certification in supply chain from APICS and be certified in production and inventory management (CPIM) or Lean.
The role furthermore demands ability to use planning systems and good problem solving and analytic abilities. You are used to work in a project environment and are skilled in communicating results of analysis in verbal and written format.
